Monday Midday Savings Madness

Monday  Super Steals

What better way to begin the week than with a few savings and freebies? Take a midday break from the rat race and nail some fabulous finds…

First the Freebies:

Get going on a healthier you with a free sample of Nicorette from Wal-Mart. Choose either mint or cinnamon. Kick the habit… (since it’s mailed to you, you’ve got a few weeks to deal with the idea of being smoke free, too)

I like Wal-Mart’s site, because though samples are limited in variety, Wal-Mart has easy to fill out forms, usually sends samples out quicker than the promised four weeks and doesn’t require a membership to take advantage of freebies.

In anticipation of your monthly” gift”, take advantage of the freebies offered by Wal-Mart for Playtex Sport, Gentle Glide or Carefree.

Soothe dry summer skin with a sample of “bodycology” lotion while you’re there, too. (Pick from Cherry Blossom or Raspberry Cream)…. mmm… doesn’t your Monday feel a little less stressful?

Today’s Coupons/Deals to Clamor for:

CVS has a host of “Buy One Get One Free” deals. Take a minute, go the site- punch in your zip code (as these vary a trifle in various parts of the country) and choose from assorted goodies such as Maybelline makeup (buy one get one free). Toss that old clumpy mascara and grab two new ones courtesy of this deal.  Then make your back to school shopping a thrifty event with their buy one get one free school supplies and savings.

In my neck of the world, CVS has a pretty sweet deal going on this week- their giving an “extra buck” back on many dollar items. For the unschooled in the CVS marketing strategy, this means using your Extra Care Card (free card/free membership) – paying up front for the items and receiving an instant  coupon back for later purchases.(In many cases this week, it’s equal to what you’ve paid- Imagine, FREE stuff)… I love that deal! Go and grab up cheap school supplies and other specially marked items from the store, get coupons worth cash for next time!

Recently I took twenty dollars in there in coupons and bought sale items. Regularly priced these items would have been around $33.00- With the cash coupons and sale, I spent .59 cents.

The only drawback on this sorta thing is the multitude of store savings cards one seems to need these days.  I change purses all the time and seem to always leave the one I need somewhere else.  Honestly, I haven’t seen my Extra Care Card since 1999, but I still get the deals by providing my phone number to retrieve the data.

(And hey, while you’re there on the CVS site, check out the free samples, they change often and are worth the look! )

Coupons at CVS worth noting, printing and scurrying, post- work today to your closest store are:

$1 off Aleve and Bayer

Several “Big G” (Cheerios and other assorted varieties) Cereals savings ranging from $.55- $.75.

If you’re  a fan of theirLumene Skin Care Line, today’s “print, clip and save” coupons can knock a THIRD to a HALF of being beautiful, ala CVS.
