Walgreens, Target, K-Mart, CVS- Double Your Savings!

One of the best ways to benefit from sales and coupons is, of course, to combine them. If you bookmark and train yourself to be vigilant in this, it will save you a bundle. 

For some of you, this may sound like old advice.

However, just yesterday, while  in line at Walgreens, I noticed a lady behind me was purchasing the weekly sale vitamins with no additional store coupon.  This violated my inner “coupon hound dog” principals.  I felt compelled to educate and to help.

My purse, is a haven of left over coupons, neatly stored in ziplocks. (Much to my kid’s horror).  I donated my coupon to the fellow shopper’s cause, saving her an additioanl $.55 off the already reduced item.

Here’s how to be ready for sales at all times:

Go to the following links, TODAY, and print out as many applicable coupons as you’d like.

These stores, Walgreens, Target, K-Mart, CVS,  have sale flyers for Sunday-Saturday.  Generally, these flyers are released online around midnight-two am. (Writers who live online and don’t venture from the computer often notice these things).  By printing out the coupons, and filing away, you can compare to the weekly sales. Try to hang onto a coupon for a sale and you will really save. I’ve gotten boxes of cereal, (recently Life, Cinnamon), for seventy-five cents with this technique! You have to look beyond the sale flyer, because the coupons on most,if not all, sites are hidden treasures.

Saving money is an art and a science, folks. In nearly all cases, retailers have concurrent sales and coupons. The trick is to be prepared. (As in the case of the coupons for Target that expire August 08, printing these out in advance saves time and money,  if you can catch an item on sale and snatch it up with a coupon as well). 

Stores bank on the principal that shoppers will be swept away with weekly sale flyers and look no further.  Add cash to your wallet by combining where possible coupons and sales!
